Normally wouldn't review a Starbucks. But I stopped here on a trip from Seattle to Monterey to get a hot cup of chai to help me on my way and while it was the same as any Starbucks Tazo chai, the customer service was amazing. Very friendly and.. I donno, I just felt so welcome. And the facilities were super clean too. So thanks for making me smile. :)

I'm giving a 3 because every other customer that I saw come through, was happy. Me, not so much. This location is near my son's school so I have stopped here just a few times, before or after volunteering. Every time I've come in, service has been slow. By this I mean taken a minute at least to even take my order, even though I could SEE three employees and the store wasn't busy. All other Starbucks ask if I want whip when I order a nonfat drink, this one didn't. Also, there was a lot of personal conversation going on every time I was in there. Once I stayed to read for awhile and the chatter was so loud between two employees that I couldn't read. I will say that the barista seemed to know the names of many people, and their preferred drinks and her friendliness was embraced by those she served. It was really the two other ladies on staff that made my ordering & payment transaction, and overall experience, just 3 star worthy.

I don't normally rate Starbucks, but these guys were so nice that I must give them a shout out. Not only did the fellow patiently give me directions to avoid a traffic jam (and I'm directionally challenged so I took up a bit of his time), but he also honored the discount my hometown SB's gives me (I like cracking out on a customized 6 shot mocha and that can get $$!). It was made perfectly and the barristas made it a lovely experience. I will definitely come here again when I am in the area.

It's very refreshing to go to a Starbucks that truly fallowing the mission of creating the Starbucks "third place". After working for the company in the past, I'm a little critical on the service standards. The partner who helped me this morning; inviting, friendly, pleasant. Then when I returned, she apologized for not remembering my name, which I never would have expected her to remember it. But the fact she was so sincere and genuine, and engaging. Fantastic customer service. The manager should be proud of hiring such a great member to their team.

This is my go to neighborhood Starbucks. I always get terrific customer service and the wait is never too bad. If only they had more parking it would be perfect.

Let me preface this before I have tomatoes thrown at me for giving a Starbucks 4 stars.... Its the only coffee shop within walking (or extremely short driving) distance to my work. I LOOOOOOOOVE Stumptown... said it before, hands down my favorite coffee of all time... I crave it. But darnit!! Their locations really aren't convenient when I'm running out the door already 20 min late, nothing in my stomach, and I'm having to brave the streets, pedestrians, buses, and parking spots of business district downtown PDX to get my godsend of a latte... sorry, sometimes I just have to say no.... to inconvenience that is. Lordy, you don't want to see me if I've said no to coffee... hah.. you don't even want to go there! Which brings me to by regular stop (yes, more often then not, I'm running late). Super friendly staff that now, not only knows my drink, but also knows my name, place of work, AND favorite color.... not even stumptown baristas (which I know recognize me.. I go through a punch card every 2 weeks) remember any of that pertinent information. Yes its Starbucks but I'm a true Oregonian at heart and really do appreciate that little extra personalization... I like to walk into a place where the people know your name (no I'm not going to bust out now into the theme song for Cheers.... I promise!).
